Today we will tackle an error called “Err_Network_Changed” that may occur on your chrome browser in Windows 7 or 8.

LAN Settings.

This is the first method and most effective way.

  • First go to control panel.
  • Windows 7 or xp users- first click start menu and then click control panel.
  • Windows 8 users- select control panel from the “Charms bar” or press “Windows key + X” then click control panel.
  • Now in the control panel click on “Internet options”.
  • Now in internet options click “Connections” and then in the lower right corner “LAN Settings”, another window will appear.
  • Uncheck “Automatically detect settings” option and click “OK”.
  • Now try browsing.

This may solve your network problem. If not try the further methods.

Router power cycling.

This is also a quite simple fix.

  • Just turn off your router and remove the power cord and leave it for 3-5 minutes.

Trouble shooting the browser.

Sometimes there might also be a problem in the browser settings or the cookies.

Clear the data in chrome:-

  • Clear all the cache and cookies in your chrome browser.
  • Click “Settings” and scroll down and click “Advance settings”.
  • Under privacy section, click “clear browsing data” and check all the boxes saying “Cookies” and plugins.
  • Also check “Cashed images” and “Filters” and then click “Clear Browsing data”.

Clear all data in Mozilla:-

  • Click “History” from the menu bar and then click “Recent History”.
  • Then check “Cookies” and “Cache” and then click “Clear browsing data now”.

Now if still the Err Network Change issue doesn’t gets solved, you may have to reinstall your respective browser.

DNS Flushing.

  • Click “Start” and then “Run”.
  • Type “cmd” inside run (without the quotes) and press enter.
  • Right click on “cmd” and click “Run as administrator”.
  • Windows 8 users, you have to use the search on the start screen to find command prompt.
  • Now in the cmd window i.e. the blank window type “ipconfig /flushdns” (without the quotes) and hit enter.
  • If it’s a success you will get a message like this “Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache”.

Resetting the TCP/IP

  • Open “Command prompt” i.e. “cmd” like you did the previous step and type “nets hint ip reset” (without the quotes) and hit enter.

This will reset your computers IP settings and might fix your problem.
